Dentures in Brandon, MS
Full, partial and immediate dentures to replace missing teeth.
Types of dentures
Dentures are replacement teeth you can take out and put back in. We make full and partial dentures.
- Full dentures replace all the teeth in your upper or lower jaw.
- Conventional dentures are made after your teeth have been removed and your gums have healed. You may be without teeth for a few months while you heal.
- Immediate dentures are made ahead of time and placed right after your teeth are removed, so you don’t go without teeth. Because your gums and jaw change as they heal, they usually need adjusting or relining later.
- Partial dentures fill gaps when you still have some natural teeth. They’re removable and work a bit like a bridge.
Getting used to new dentures
New dentures take time to get used to. At first, speaking may feel different and chewing may feel a little awkward. That usually eases as your mouth adjusts. Let us know about sore spots — we can adjust the fit.
A loose lower denture?
There are a few options. We can reline your denture so it fits the current shape of your gums (you’ll be without it for a couple of days), or make a new denture, which takes several visits. Dental implants can also be used to hold a denture firmly in place. We’ll talk through what makes sense for you.
Cost and insurance
Many dental plans cover part of the cost of dentures. We file your claim and can set up a payment plan for major treatment. See insurance & financing.
Denture questions
What can be done about my loose lower denture?
There are a few options. We can do a hard reline so your denture fits the current shape of your gums — you’ll be without it for a couple of days. A new denture is another option, which takes several visits. Dental implants can also hold a denture firmly in place. We’ll help you decide what fits your needs.
What are my options for replacing missing teeth?
Dental implants, bridges and dentures (full or partial) can all replace missing teeth. The best choice depends on how many teeth are missing, the health of your gums and bone, and your preferences and budget. Your dentist will go over the options with you.
