Dr. Shaun Mayatte, DMD
General dentist and founder of Mayatte Family Dentistry. A Brandon native who came home to open the practice.
Background
Dr. Shaun Mayatte grew up in the Crossgates neighborhood and attended Brandon High School. After studying at Hinds Community College, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Mississippi State University. He graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry in 2000, then practiced in Columbia and Jackson for several years before coming home to Brandon to open Mayatte Family Dentistry.

Outside the office
Dr. Mayatte and his wife, Dr. Claire Mayatte, live in Brandon with their two daughters and are members of First Baptist Church of Brandon. When he isn’t practicing dentistry, he loves the outdoors — training for a triathlon, hunting whatever is in season, or fishing with Claire and the girls.
